I met Sam for the first time in a tense work meeting. She had a huge smile and was very friendly. We got to know one another better through work and then we would meet up at one another’s houses and experiment (with various degrees of success) with cooking food from around the world, drinking wine and having such a laugh. Gary, you must have listened to some nonsense during these evenings. Sam made me howl with laughter - in part due to her irreverence, perception, astuteness and quick wit. She was incredibly thoughtful and kind, even when she was very sick she was thinking of and helping other people. I found her inspiring, open, and a total joy to be with. Sending love to Gary and family at this time. Love you and miss you Sam. Rest in peace xxx
